2018/2019 Youth Tumbling Program



TUMBLING (Level– I, Beginning Tumbling) Ages 4-6

Beginner skills taught: somersaults, forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheel, round-offs, bridge, backbend, walkovers,and basic jumps.


TUMBLING (Level Two Intermediate) Ages 7-12

Intermediate Skills Taught: Front walkover, back walk over sequence,splits, back handspring, jump sequences. All tumbling students will: learn appropriate stretching and flexibility techniques and engage in strength training exercises to support beginning tumbling skills.

Tumbling classes compliments the dance program and is a non-recital class.

Tuition:

$250 or $125 per session
$125 at registration and $125 will be processed January 11th for the second session

or you may choose a payment plan:

$35 at registration 3-$30 on 10/5, 11/2, 11/30.
The s
econd session first of $35 will be processed on 1/11 and 3-$30 payments on 2/8, 3/8 and 4/5.





About our NEW Tumbling Instructor

Reeves DeVoe began his career in gymnastics andcontinued the sport for 16 years. Four of which he was also a tumbling coachand floor choreographer at GOB gymnastics and cheer. Currently Reeves is afourth year, Pre-dance therapy track, dance and psychology double major atEastern Michigan University. He has performed in various ballets and dance concertsfor Eastern such as the Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella Ballets and the Facultyconcerts from 2015-2018. In more recent years he has also performed in EasternMichigan’s Midsummers Night’s Dream and Coppelia. Outside of Eastern, Reeveshas performed in ballets with Ballet Chelsea and danced for Abigayle Crydermanin the Detroit Dance Race and the Koresh Artists Showcase in Philadelphia. Hehas taught dance therapy class’s at Chelsea High School and plans to pursue amasters in dance/movement therapy from Naropa University in Boulder CO
